Celine Dion Sells Las Vegas Mansion to Bay Area-Based Private ...

Celine Dion has sold an ultra-modern mansion in the über- luxury Las Vegas development The Summit Club in an off-market deal that went down for a whopping $30 million.

More than one plugged-in Las Vegas real estate agent confirmed the property was owned by Dion, but it’s unclear the Canadian singing sensation ever moved into the sprawling contemporary mansion that was in a near constant state of being tinkered with, according to a local resident.

Given that she bought the Summit Club spread in late 2017 for $9.2 million, according to property records, the six-time Grammy winner more than tripled her money. The clandestine transaction closed last month, and the buyer is listed under an LLC tied to Bay Area-based private equity honcho Chuck Esserman, who bet early and successfully on natural and organic food companies, and his wife Ivette.

Since the property was not available on the open market, little is known beyond what’s available in Clark County records. The estate, the first home inside the guarded gates of the prestigious development, encompasses 1.4 acres and there are four bedrooms and a staggering 12 bathrooms within almost 31,000 square feet of living space. Two above-ground floors span about 14,500 square feet atop a 14,500-square-foot finished basement that includes a 3,300-square-foot subterranean parking garage. The pool and spa overlooks the tee boxes of the resort development’s 12th hole on the Tom Fazio-designed golf course.

Since it opened its gates, The Summit Club has attracted a variety of folks with big bucks to plunk down on big houses in the desert. Other owners behind the development’s ever-more-hallowed (and multicolored) gates are Golden Knights owner Bill Foley, motivational speaker Tony Robbins, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, data center mogul Rob Roy, and box office superstar Mark Wahlberg.

Dion, who announced last year that she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, has owned numerous homes around the world, including in Florida, Canada, and Paris. Her home base, however, has long been the Las Vegas area, where for some years she’s presided over a custom compound sequestered behind the guarded gates of a ritzy resort development that surrounds Lake Las Vegas out in the suburb of Henderson.

Earlier this month, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that fans won’t be able to see Dion on stage at Resorts World Las Vegas until 2024, if at all. She is, however, scheduled to launch her international “Courage” tour in August in the Netherlands.
