Coventry City fans are proud, heartbroken, furious with VAR - and say 'these are the greatest days of our lives'. The Sky Blues were denied a sensational victory over Man Utd in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley by a last minute VAR decision.
Tom Grennan issued a brilliant message to all Coventry City fans after their FA Cup semi-final agony. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, following the heartbreaking game at Wembley yesterday (April 21).
The big Sky Blues fan said that 'everyone in world football is talking about the sky blues again - the entertainers'. He went on to call manager Mark Robins 'a G'.

He wasn't wrong - from ITV commentators to football fans across the globe - all sang the praises of City, who pulled off the ultimate comeback against Manchester United before being denied victory by VAR. The Sky Blues cruelly lost on penalties, after coming back from being 3-0 down and having a goal ruled out in the dying seconds.
The Enemy, whose song 'We Live and Die in these Towns' was the city's anthem yesterday, simply posted: "We'll Live And Die In These Towns. #PUSB." Coventry was trending on X last night, with one proud Sky Blue fan posting: "Coventry City deservedly trending on Twitter again.
"Most of the comments are to condemn the daylight robbery of VAR and to praise our team for a fantastic performance. I am so proud of each and every one of the lads. You gave us all a day we'll never forget!!"
"Couldn't be prouder of my team after today's game! These matches will make us stronger in the future. One of the greatest semi finals in a long long time against one of the top sides decided by the flick of a coin. It's been an amazing journey in the last 7 years," another X user said.
Another fan posted: "You know what, it will never get better than this. We’ll probably go up in near future, maybe even win something, but fusion between fans/players/club/team/owner right now is pitch perfect. These are the greatest, proudest days of our football lives, and I’m fine with that #PUSB."
Coventry City Council posted: "An amazing effort from @Coventry_City Football really can be such a cruel game, but we are extremely proud of your outstanding efforts and incredible FA Cup journey."
Robins remained sanguine after the game - and didn't even blame VAR. The former United striker said: “If it’s the right call, it’s the right call. I think he was a toenail offside, which is disappointing. Had he cut his toenail, we wouldn’t be talking about penalties.
“This FA Cup run will be spoken about, certainly in Coventry City circles, for a long, long time. Whilst I’m disappointed for everybody, we can’t be too down about it.
"We’ve gone toe to toe with Manchester United, come back from 3-0 down and almost won it with a fourth, then lost it in a shoot-out, which can happen. We performed like Manchester United for that last half-hour and that’s what I’m most proud of.
“This club has been in the doldrums for so long but we’re certainly out of that period. We’ve just got to keep moving it forward, which is why we won’t feel sorry for ourselves.”
Utd manager Erik Ten Hag denied his team had been embarrassed. “I can’t say that word (embarrassment) because, at the end of the day, it’s about the achievement," he said.
“I see the mistakes we make – we can’t look away from it – but it’s not an embarrassment. It’s a huge achievement.
"Even the big team from United, a decade ago, only achieved the final three times. We now have two times in two years. So that’s a good performance.
“I see we can play in very high levels but in the same match we can also go very low. That’s not explainable. It has to do with managing the game.
