David gave Victoria a piggy-back as they left the party

Ahead of the event, Victoria shared a number of snaps of her family dressed in their finery, writing, ‘Can’t wait to celebrate with my friends and family! I love you all so much.’ Celebrations officially began at 7.30pm, with Victoria joining her husband David, as well as Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, at the event in Mayfair. Her daughter-in-law, Nicola Peltz Beckham, was missing from the celebrations after her grandmother fell ill.

Speaking to The Sun, who estimated the event may have cost upwards of £250,000, an insider said David had ‘splashed the cash’ at the celebration. The source explained, ‘He wanted it to be extra-special for her after she always makes such an effort for everyone else.’

A-lister guests were quick to join the family at the venue, with close friends like Tana and Gordon Ramsay, and Jason Statham and wife Rosie Huntington-Whiteley among the 100 people invited. Guy Ritchie and wife Jacqui Ainsley were beaming as they arrived at the event alongside Salma Hayek and her fashion tycoon husband, Francois-Henri Pinault. According to MailOnline, supper saw the group dining on steak and sea bass while sipping on champagne and wine, before a cake appeared for the birthday girl. After a quick rendition of Happy Birthday, David led the gushing speeches for Victoria. He spoke of how Victoria ‘inspires him’ and said it is her role as a mother to their four children which is the one she ‘cherishes most in the world.’ Tributes from Brooklyn, Romeo and Harper followed, while Cruz performed a touching cover of the Spice Girls' hit Mama, on stage. Victoria, as well as the other Spice Girls, joined him on stage for the performance, before the dancefloor kicked into high gear.

It wasn't the only tribute to the Spice Girls of the night, with the five women coming together to perform to a medley of hits. Posting a video of the performance on Instagram after the event, Victoria wrote, ‘Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much!’
