A slew of former New Zealand cricket internationals will be part of TVNZ's commentary team, in the wake of the company picking up the broadcast rights from Spark.

Last year when Spark announced it was leaving the sports streaming market TVNZ picked up the broadcast rights for many of their sports, including Black Caps and White Ferns tests, T20 matches and one day internationals played in New Zealand and Super Smash matches.

The deal runs for three years, from the start of the 2023 season until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Matches will be broadcast on free-to-air channels TV One and Duke along with more than 300 games on streaming platform TVNZ+.

Former Black Caps Craig McMillan, Grant Elliott and Mark Richardson along with former White Ferns Katie Martin, Frankie McKay and Rebecca Rolls plus broadcaster Scotty Stevenson will make-up the commentary team.

The panel were previously all members of Spark's commentary line-up.

Over the summer here the Black Caps will play T20's, and ODI's against Bangladesh and Pakistan along with two tests against South Africa and Australia.

They will also play three T20's against Australia.

The White Ferns have T20's and ODI's against England.

The international domestic season gets underway with the White Ferns playing Pakistan in a T20 in Dunedin on Sunday afternoon.
