Two goals in the opening four minutes set Manchester City up for a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham United that sent them back to the top of the Women's Super League (WSL) on Sunday, with top scorer Khadija Shaw netting twice to take her season tally to 21.

With three league games left to play, City top the standings on 49 points, three ahead of Chelsea who have a game in hand, and six ahead of third-placed Arsenal. Sunday's result gives City a three-goal advantage in terms of goal difference over Emma Hayes' Chelsea, who beat Barcelona in their Women's Champions League first leg on Saturday.

Full-back Leila Ouhabi got proceedings underway quickly by netting in the first minute against West Ham, with Shaw adding the first of her brace three minutes later.

Shaw struck again in the 24th minute before being replaced at the break by Chloe Kelly, and City added two more goals in the second half through Laura Blindkilde and Jess Park to round off a dominant display.

Arsenal sealed Champions League qualification with a comfortable 3-0 win over Leicester City that confirmed a top-three finish.

The match was Arsenal's sixth at the Emirates Stadium this season -- the most they've played at the venue in a single campaign - and while it wasn't a sellout, there were more than 42,820 in attendance on Sunday.

The hosts took the lead in the 28th minute after Beth Mead clinically finished a well-worked move in the box for her seventh league goal of the season.

Leicester, who lost to Tottenham in their FA Cup semifinal last week, showed fight in the first half, with efforts from Yuka Momiki and Samantha Tierney drawing sharp saves from Manuela Zinsberger.

But they faded away as the game went on and a late salvo saw Alessia Russo double Arsenal's lead in the 75th minute with a shot from just inside the box, before Mead notched her second successive brace with a dinked close-range finish.

The goals weren't all Arsenal fans had to cheer in the second half. Frida Maanum's introduction near the hour-mark -- her first appearance since her collapse in the Conti Cup final -- was greeted with a loud standing ovation in the ground.

Arsenal's dominance also allowed Jonas Eidevall to bring on Vivienne Miedema late in the game for her first appearance since February.

Earlier in the afternoon, Manchester United's Maya Le Tissier scored in the second minute of second-half stoppage time to grab a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham.

On Friday, Everton benefited from a Guro Bergsvand own goal as they won 2-1 away to Brighton, and Merseyside rivals Liverpool beat bottom side Bristol City 1-0 on Saturday.
