Live scores, updates and highlights from the third round of the 88th Masters at Augusta National Golf Club

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The 2024 Masters has entered its Moving Day phase with the top of the leaderboard requiring some actual movement in Round 3 on Saturday. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Max Homa and 2020 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau all entered the day tied at 6 under after 36 holes, and surely, all three men were hoping to separate themselves from the pack ahead of the tournament's final 18 holes Sunday.

Scheffler is hotter than any golfer on the PGA Tour right now, and he's only proven that to be the case at Augusta National where he ranks first from tee to green through 36 holes this week. Homa, meanwhile, ranks first in greens in regulation, while DeChambeau ranks first in ball striking. In other words, the three guys playing the best golf are exactly where they should be with two rounds remaining.

Elsewhere, Tiger Woods set a new Masters record making his 24th consecutive weekend in tournament competition, though he has fallen apart Saturday. The likes of Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm were simply trying to shoot up the leaderboard to bring home as much prize money as possible after playing their way out of contention through the first two rounds.

          We have a new leader!

A three-shot swing on No. 10 from the penultimate pairing means Nicolai Hojgaard is your outright leader! Scottie made a very uncharacteristic mistake going left of the pin and paid the price with a three-putt double bogey. Meanwhile, the young Dane connects from distance for a birdie.

    We're onto the second nine

That's nine pars from Max Homa as he shoots even par and is one behind Scottie Scheffler. Collin Morikawa and Nicolai Hojgaard are also at that number and are hanging tough while Ludvig and Bryson are at 5 under. Pretty cool to see two debutants currently inside the top five.

    Bryson back to 6 under

It was a well-played hole for Bryson on the par-5 8th as he makes his first birdie of the day to return to even par. This leaderboard is shaping up! Collin, Max and Bryson are all at 6 under, Ludvig just lets a chance slide by on 10 to join them. Nicolai Hojgaard will have a good chance to get to 6 and Scheffler leads despite missing a couple of really good birdie looks.

Collin and Ludvig convert birdie bids

This is some high quality golf from a couple young studs. Ludvig Aberg connects for his third birdie of the day on No. 9 and turns in 3 under. Meanwhile, Collin Morikawa bounces back from a bogey on 6 with a birdie on No. 8 to get within one of Scheffler.

      Really solid stuff from Max

I think of the three overnight leaders, Max Homa had the most unknown attached to him being his first time in major contention. He's been solid so far with six straight pars on a really difficult day. He may be out of the lead, but he isn't going anywhere just one behind Scheffler.

    Ludvig lurking…

I don't think the kid has missed a shot through seven holes. He's 2 under on the day and only three back of Scottie Scheffler who faces a ticklish one for par on No. 6. This kid is a machine. See ball, hit ball and do it all over again.

    Bryson with a bumpy start

He fails to take advantage of the par-5 2nd and adds another 5 on his scorecard on the shot par-4 3rd. He remains two behind Scottie Scheffler as the world No. 1 dropped a shot on the par-3 4th.

        Rory shoots 1-under 71

Well, the green jacket isn't coming this year for McIlroy, but it is a solid Moving Day for Rory McIlroy. He now has rounds of 71-77-71 in his 10th attempt at the career grand slam. He is 3 over for the tournament and inside the top 30.

          Scottie grabs another

Wow, wow, wow. Scottie Scheffler makes an unlikely birdie on No. 3 to stretch his lead to two. Scheffler lost his drive left, took TIO relief from a scoreboard and connected from distance on the greens. He is now 8 under with Collin Morikawa (3 under through 4), Bryson and Max all two back.

      Here comes Collin

The two-time major champion has made two birdies out the gate to get to 5 under and only two off the pace of Scottie Scheffler. Collin Morikawa has not been stellar this year, but he found his iron play this week to go along with a new putter. A Masters win would give him the third leg of the career grand slam in only his 17th major start.
