Tigers and Lobos Scratch Out a Scoreless Draw

Despite holding a 15-7 advantage in total shots and a12-3 lead in corner kicks, the Colorado College women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against New Mexico Sunday afternoon at Stewart Field.
 
The Tigers move to 5-7-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the Mountain West, while UNM is now 6-4-3 overall and 2-3-1 in league play.
 
Colorado College held a 4-2 advantage in shots on goal, putting two each half on net against UN goalkeeper Callie Droitsch. Kendall Memoly had a point-blank look at the net in the 13th minute, but Droitsch made an impressive save, then she did the same against Brett Tsamafyros in the 54th minute to keep the game scoreless.
 
Presely Devey had both shots on goal for the Lobos, but Regan Wallace stopped both of them, including a great look in the 86th minute. Wallace collected her second consecutive shutout and third of the season.  
 
Tsamafyros led the Tigers with three shots and joined Memoly, Evie Biggs and Kaelin Enga with one shot on target.
 
The Tigers return to action on Thursday, Oct. 17, against 11th-ranked Utah State in Logan, Utah.
