Lottery winner hits big with $150000 scratch-off in Owensboro
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - One man is taking home a a life-changing amount of money after winning the lottery in Owensboro.
Express Liquor Two on West 9th Street tells us customer James Malingly walked into the store earlier this month and walked out a winner.
Employees say Malingly often tests his luck with scratch-off lottery tickets, and that day he was unaware his life would change forever.
Malignly bought a $5 ticket for the 50X THE CASH game and scratched off the perfect numbers to win him $150,000.
“While we’ve witnessed our fair share of smaller wins among our regular customers, Mr. Malignly’s win marks a significant milestone for us,” says store manager Peter Patel. “We couldn’t be happier that someone from our neighborhood has struck such a substantial jackpot. It’s a testament to the wonderful spirit of our community.”
Express Liquor Two tells us they wished Malingly all the success in the world after the big win.
