Canterbury’s Selwyn United have appointed Chris Brown as head coach for their next Southern League campaign.
Brown (34), who is the club’s director of football, will lead the Stallions after the departure of Lee Padmore to become the new academy director for the Wellington Phoenix.
Brown was previously Selwyn United’s head coach from 2019-21, leading the team’s qualification to the National League in 2021.

For the past two seasons, Brown was assistant coach to Padmore.
Announcing Brown’s appointment, the club said: “As our director of football, Chris has an in-depth knowledge of our player pool and footballing pathways, a strong footballing philosophy and a keen tactical mind.
“We are delighted to have Chris working as our head coach again and we wish him and the Stallions the best of luck for the season ahead.”
