Wellington Airport announced plans for a new fire station at Rongotai and a retail development on its western perimeter at Lyall Bay.

This follows the purchase of waterfront corner sites in the Lyall Bay Junction on Kingsford Smith St.

The plans include a new public promenade area along Lyall Bay
