Unsure what to pack for Glastonbury 2023? Well, it looks like your rain mac might come in handy this year because the Met Office has warned festivalgoers to come prepared for showers.

The weather forecast across the weekend sees ups and downs in temperatures across the week from Wednesday, June 21 to Monday, June 26, with intermittent showers and spots of sunshine.

Speaking to Somerset Live, the Met Office’s Press Officer Stephen Dixon said to expect “above average” rainfall this year, and unpredictable weather patterns throughout the week.

The Met Office also logged thunderstorms on Tuesday, June 20, in the Glastonbury area, meaning the site could get a little muddy before anyone steps foot on Worthy Farm.

“Glastonbury will be lucky to get away without seeing some rain,” Dixon explained. “Over the next couple of days, we will see a very dry and settled picture in Somerset.

“Temperatures will be well above average in the mid to high 20s and it will be a very settled regime. However, there will be a shift heading into the weekend. On Friday (June 16), there will be an increasing chance of some light showers,” he said.
