Tszyu was ahead in the first two rounds before suffering a horror cut to the top of his head at the end of the second round, when he leaned in to Fundora and hit the opponent’s elbow.

It bled profusely despite the best efforts of his corner, while Fundora himself had a badly bloodied nose and mouth.
Somehow, the doctors opted not to stop the fight, which went the distance as Tszyu lost in a split decision after being unable to see through the waves of blood pouring down his face.
Commentator Maura Ranallo said it “like a crime scene”, after earlier labelling it “like a Tarantino movie”.
Boxing star Billy Dib was one of many left stunned that the fight wasn’t halted, while fellow fighter Tony Harrison – who Tszyu beat last year – called it an “old school bloody fight”.
