It's official, Australia has fallen hard for 'Lose Control' singer Teddy Swims.

The Atlanta, Georgia, native returns down under for a third consecutive year, the vocal powerhouse (and grandson of a Pentecostal preacher) to perform headline concerts with his band Freak Freely in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in July.

With a back catalogue featuring soul to funk, gospel and R&B, 2023 was a monster year for Teddy that included the release of his debut album, 'I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)' featuring the singles 'The Door', 'Some Things I'll Never Know' and 'What More Can I Say'.

The record also houses Swims' global hit 'Lose Control', which has amassed over 20 million Australian streams. "I needed to write about the moment we lost our shot in order to help myself make sense of it all these years later," says Swims of the track.

Last year also saw Teddy collaborate with American producer ILLENIUM on 'All That Really Matters'.

"Now I'm watching people connect with the messages and stories and realising not only are the songs helping me, but they're also helping them too," Teddy says of his debut album, which follows four EP releases. "It feels like all that work on the back end, all that internalising, is finally making a difference."

Given both the 2022 and 2023 Australian dates sold out, fans are urged to act quickly to ensure they're ringside to witness live one of music's most heartfelt and honest artists.

Tickets on sale from 1pm (local time) on 8 March.
