Introducing 'Images in Sports Medicine'

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new educational feature in the British Journal of Sports Medicine entitled ‘Images in Sports Medicine.’

The aim of this new article series is to illustrate imaging findings of challenging clinical cases, both common and unusual, encountered by sport and exercise medicine (SEM) clinicians. We aim to demonstrate advances in imaging techniques and their impact on the management of athletes of all levels. Each feature will consist of a short history, a description of key diagnostic features, and the imaging findings, and deliver a clear learning message. Additional points that will be emphasised are selection of the optimal imaging modality (based on injury and patient age) and also include scenarios in which no imaging may be the most appropriate choice.
