Singles’ Day was originally observed in China as an unofficial holiday to celebrate being single, but it’s gained traction worldwide as an opportunity to engage in a little retail therapy. Urban Outfitters has observed the holiday since 2020 with exclusive vinyl singles from some of the biggest artists. This year’s lineup, available today, includes Charli XCX, Laufey, Reneé Rapp, and more.

Singles’ Day is celebrated on 11/11, a date chosen because of the symbolism of 1 as a single, and Urban Outfitter’s Singles’ Day lineup appropriately includes 11 releases. This year’s Singles’ Day lineup comprises some familiar faces from last year’s, including Billie Eilish and Noah Kahan. You can see the entire lineup below.

Billie Eilish: “Birds of a Feather” – available on limited edition green bio vinyl.  Melanie Martinez: “MILK OF THE SIREN” – available on olive Green vinyl.   Laufey:  “From the Start” – available on UO-exclusive red vinyl.  Noah Kahan: “You’re Gonna Go Far” – available on limited edition cloudy clear pressed vinyl.  Charli XCX: “Spring Breakers/Guess” – available on UO- exclusive black vinyl.  Paramore:  “Decode/I Caught Myself” – pressed on clear vinyl.  Reneé Rapp: “Tummy Hurts/ Tummy Hurts Remix ft. Coco Jones” – on exclusive white vinyl.   Madison Beer:  “15 MINUTES/Make You Mine” – available on coke bottle clear vinyl.  Tinashe:  “Nasty” – pressed on cobalt blue vinyl.  Shaboozey: “Tipsy (A Bar Song)/ My Fault ft. Noah Cyrus” – pressed on exclusive gold vinyl.  Royel Otis: “Sofa King/Linger” – available on violet purple vinyl.

Urban Outfitters has been a hub for exclusive vinyl releases for decades, investing heavily in the nostalgic format as its popularity has continued to grow. Many beginner vinyl collectors buy records before they have a way to play them — if that sounds like you, we have tips on the best turntables to buy. The releases are all 45 RPM vinyl singles.

While Urban Outfitters’ vinyl selection is typically a mix of new and old, with current pop artists, throwback ’90s and ’00s, and classics from the ’60s and ’70s, this year’s Singles’ Day lineup leans heavily on recent hitmakers, including best new artist Grammy nominee Shaboozey and Record of the Year nominees like Billie Eilish and Charli XCX, who’s kept Brat Summer rolling with new vinyl releases.

In addition to Urban Outfitters, retailers like Target and Amazon have leaned into releasing exclusive vinyl albums, even as big box stores have moved away from other forms of physical media, such as Blu-rays and DVDs.
