Police Minister Mark Mitchell has announced that Richard Chambers will be the new Police Commissioner.Chambers joined the police in 1996 and made an early impression on senior detectives in Auckland.The 52-year-old rose quickly through the ranks, and most recently had a leadership role within Interpol in France.
