Fede Valverde—7: Covered every blade of grass and often acted as the outlet on the right wing. Will need to step up further in the absence of Toni Kroos to fill the progressive passing void.

Jude Bellingham—7.5: Not quite at the level of Wednesday night, but still put in a major shift on both sides of the ball.

Vinicius Junior—6: Underwhelming second half when the team needed their franchise player to step up.

Rodrygo—8: The best of the front three, scored the lone Madrid goal with a goal from the left hand side of the box curling into the side netting.

Kylian Mbappe—6: Isolated at times and still looking to find his role and overall chemistry with the team. Best moments came from the left wing where he produced two shots on target that nearly found the back of the net.

Luka Modric—7: Brought control and rhythm to Madrid’s game but had a couple of shooting opportunities that he failed to capitalize on.
