In an interview for El Chiringuito TV where he discussed several current topics, Karim Benzema appeared calm despite the delicate situation Real Madrid is going through.

Benzema is not one to speak frequently to the media. During his time in Europe, the striker rarely engaged with the press, and even less now that he has moved to Saudi Arabia after joining Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023. So, when he agreed to an interview this Monday with El Chiringuito TV, the former Real Madrid player’s words were listened to with particular attention. For several minutes, the forward shared his views on various current topics, including the unstable situation his former team is experiencing.

Real Madrid has seen better days, as evidenced by the painful defeat in El Clásico against FC Barcelona about ten days ago (0-4) and the recent Ballon d'Or loss, which ultimately went to Rodri instead of Vinicius Jr. Despite these tough times and the rocky start to the season across all competitions the team is involved in, Benzema doesn’t appear particularly worried. “I watch all the games. Real Madrid has the best players in the world in every position,” KB9 assured before expanding on his analysis.

“Madrid always comes back”

“Madrid will win again this season. For now, it’s tough, there’s a lot of pressure, but that’s Madrid. There’s a lot of pressure, but they will calm down, handle it better, and start winning again,” continued the former Olympique Lyonnais player when asked about the potential lack of a leader in this Merengue squad. “It’s tough because they are all very young,” acknowledged the Frenchman, though he later reiterated his confidence that everything will return to normal because “Madrid always comes back.” And Real Madrid will try to prove it in the coming months.
