Rachin Ravindra continued his fine form in World Cup 2023 as he scored his second hundred of the tournament against Australia in Dharamsala.

With this, Ravindra joined Glenn Turner, Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson as the fourth New Zealand batter to score two hundreds in a World Cup.

Ravindra has been making waves in the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup hosted by India.

The all-rounder made an impressive debut in the World Cup on October 5th, 2023, against defending champions England in Ahmedabad. He scored a century in this match, contributing significantly to New Zealand's nine-wicket win. His performance was so outstanding that he was named the player of the match for his one wicket and 123 runs.

Following his debut, Ravindra continued to display excellent form. He scored a half-century against the Netherlands at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, further solidifying his position as a key player in the New Zealand team. In addition to these performances, he also played a crucial role in a match against Afghanistan in Chennai, scoring 32 runs.

He followed this up with a fifty against India in Dharamshala.

Ravindra and New Zealand had a big task infront of them chasing 389 runs to win against Australia. The Blackcaps found themselves in a bit of a bother as they lost the openers early and Daryl Mitchell joined Ravindra at the crease.

Mitchell would be the aggressor in the partnership and reached his fifty before being finally dismissed for 54 runs. Ravindra would then change gears and stitched together a fine partnership with captain Tom Latham to take the attack to the Aussies.

Ravindra would play some delightful strokes during his knock, as he pulled Mitchell Marsh for a fine six and tried to keep the scoring rate high.

The all-rounder reached the landmark with a huge six off Glenn Maxwell as he became the fourth New Zealand batter to hit two centuries in a single edition of the World Cup.

Ravindra would get to his hundred in 77 deliveries and his innings consisted of seven boundaries and two sixes. With the knock, Ravindra moved back into the top three of the highest run-getters list as he leapfrogged Aiden Markram.
