Princess Charlene of Monaco wore the grooviest look for her royal return to the Rose Ball in Monaco.
On Sunday, Princess Charlene, 46, attended the Rose Ball (or, in French, Bal de la Rose), where she shimmered in a golden long-sleeved jumpsuit. According to fan blog Royal Couturier, the princess went without the Ellie Saab ensemble's cape component for the disco-themed bash benefitting the Princess Grace Foundation.
The Rose Ball was held at the event venue Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo and "transformed into a disco wonderland" by Christian Louboutin, Monaco Life reported. The French fashion designer posed for a photo with Princess Charlene, Prince Albert, Princess Caroline, Caroline’s daughters Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Alexandra’s partner Ben Sylvester Strautmann and the night’s headliner: Gloria Gaynor!

The legendary singer hit the stage to perform her disco hits "I Will Survive" and "Never Can Say Goodbye" during the Rose Ball, Monaco Life reported. Completing the disco theme, drag queens Shangela and Chad Michaels channeled Donna Summer and Cher, a statement from the Rose Ball said.
The charity fundraiser was founded by Princess Grace of Monaco in 1954 and features thousands of the late royal’s favorite flowers, roses. It continues to benefit the Princess Grace Foundation, founded by the late Prince Ranier following the death of his wife in 1982. The Princess Grace Foundation celebrates the legacy of the American-born, Oscar-winning actress and helps the next generation of performers get their start in the arts.

Princes Charlene's outing marked her first appearance at the event in 10 years, according to the Monaco Tribune. Around 800 guests are typically invited to the party, chaired by Princess Caroline, each year, which was canceled just once in its long history during the 1991 Gulf War. Like many royal events, it was postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It's been a festive few weeks for Princess Charlene and Prince Albert, who celebrated his 66th birthday on March 14. That Thursday, the head of state of Monaco stepped out at Prince's Palace of Monaco to see a changing of the guard and orchestra performance in the Place du Palais courtyard. The celebration was complete with a towering cake and mini walkabout by the couple, who were joined by their 9-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella looked more grown up than ever while greeting well-wishers, and Prince Albert spoke to Paris Match about how the twins’ personalities are increasingly blossoming as they grow up.
"She’s a little miss with an independent character and she expresses herself quite freely," Albert said about Gabriella, per Monaco Tribune.
"We thought Jacques was more of an introvert, but he’s been gaining confidence for some time now. He looks out for his sister. "

Prince Albert described the children as "very tight, very close" and aware of their royal destiny ahead.
"They’ve both understood the rather special role they’ll have to play and their obligations, even though I don’t dwell too much on that aspect, so as not to stress them," he told Paris Match. Jacques follows his father in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne, as the principality recognizes male-preference primogeniture.
Prince Albert cited the annual Sainte-Dévote boat burning celebration as one of the twins’ favorite royal engagements, revealing that they "like to take part" in the rich tradition.
