KFGO On Scene: Possible Shooting, Police Presence at Prairie ...

WEST FARGO (KFGO) – One person was taken to the hospital for unknown gunshot injuries after an altercation led to a shooting in West Fargo.

Police were called to Prairie Heights Church on 32nd Ave S just after 7:45 a.m. Police Chief Pete Neilsen says officers found a victim with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital and their condition is unknown. 

Two people were detained for questioning. No arrests have been made. 

It is unknown what led up to the altercation and ultimately the gunshots. It’s believed one of those detained is an employee of Prairie Heights. 

Prairie Heights Executive Director Doug Peters says the church was closed and vacant when the shooting happened.

Chief Nielsen says this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
