The partnership will deliver Australian T&E capability development, autonomous underwater vehicle testing, and underwater AI testing capabilities.
"Undersea capabilities and autonomous systems are priority areas for AUKUS Pillar II and our partnership with AMC enables us to access Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) testing ranges, laboratories and domain specialists," said Nova Systems CEO Dean Rosenfield.
"Nova has been investing in T&E including synthetics and digital mission engineering, as well as importantly developing training to equip T&E practitioners in Defence and industry with the skills and knowledge to deliver world-leading capability."
As part of the partnership, AMC will host the beginning of Nova Systems' next Advanced T&E Practitioner Course, which is set to kick off on 10 February 2025. The Advanced T&E Practitioner Course first ran in early 2024, and involves four weeks of T&E training split into two modules that cover T&E theory and practice.
“Our Advanced Course comprises the latest international best-practice, covering autonomous systems and AI testing in the real-world, as well as incorporating digital environments and tools including modelling and simulation," Rosenfield added.
