OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A 23-year-old man told Omaha Police that he was shot while fighting off a man who was trying to rob him at an apartment complex in Northwest Omaha.
OPD officers responded to CUMC-Bergan Mercy hospital at 12:35 a.m. Monday. The man told police he was in the parking lot of an apartment complex southwest of 108th Street and West Maple Road when a man approached him demanding money.
He said he fought with the man, who pulled out a firearm and shot him. Accoring to the OPD report, the wound was not life-threatening.
