1.) Amazon MGM Studios’ Sundance crowd-pleaser My Old Ass is now available on Prime Video! In this fresh coming-of-age story, free-spirited teenager Elliot (Maisy Stella) comes face-to-face with her wisecracking 39-year-old self (Aubrey Plaza) on an 18th birthday mushroom trip. Before leaving for college, Elliott is determined to have one last summer of good times and girl-crushes. But when her “old ass” starts handing out warnings about what her younger self should and shouldn’t do, Elliott realizes she has to rethink everything about family, love, and what’s becoming a transformative summer. 2.) A documentary over twenty years in the making is coming to the silver screen! Directed and produced by Sandi Dubowski, Sabbath Queen follows the lifelong quest of Amichai Lau-Lavie—a radical queer drag queen and influential Rabbi of a God-optional, artist-driven New York synagogue—to reinvent religion and ritual, challenge patriarchy and supremacy, and champion interfaith love. The film opens in New York City on November 22 and in Los Angeles on December 5, with a national rollout to follow. Watch the trailer below and catch Sabbath Queen in a theater near you.

3.) Out Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone is set to star in the action-thriller Lone Wolf. The conspiracy pic follows a troubled vet (Gladstone) struggling with addiction who is recruited by a contractor (Bryan Cranston) for a covert government plot to assassinate a high-level politician. After learning she is set to take the fall, she must use her skills to outwit the shadow agents and protect the future of her son. Stay tuned for more information!

4.) Focus Features acquired the U.S. rights to Working Title and Studiocanal’s WWII drama-thriller Pressure, starring gay BAFTA-winner Andrew Scott. In the seventy two hours leading up to D-Day, all the pieces are in place except for one key element – the British weather. Britain’s chief meteorological officer James Stagg (Scott) is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership. Keep an eye out for an official release date!

5.) Bisexual scream queen Kate Siegel is set to star in the action-horror Epilogue. Set one year after the zombie apocalypse has supposedly come to an end, the film follows a desperate couple seeking a cure for their infected daughter. Return back for more details as they arise!

6.) Netflix released the official trailer for its six-episode spy thriller Black Doves, starring out actor Ben Whishaw alongside Keira Knightley. Set against the backdrop of London at Christmas, the series follows Helen Webb (Knightley), a mother and professional spy who has been passing on her politician husband’s secrets to the shadowy organization she works for: the Black Doves. When her secret lover is assassinated, her spymaster Reed calls in Helen’s old friend Sam (Whishaw) to keep her safe. Check out the trailer below and stream Black Doves December 5!

7.) In more Netflix news, the streamer revealed episode titles for the upcoming season of Stranger Things, confirming that season five will be released in 2025! The new season of the critically-acclaimed supernatural drama series picks up in the fall of 1987, more than a year after the events of season four, and will continue to feature lesbian character Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke) for one last adventure. Watch the title teaser below!

8.) BET+ officially renewed The Ms. Pat Show for a fifth season! Based on the titular Patricia’s life experiences, the series tells the story of a modern, multi-generational Black family—including lesbian daughter Ashley—navigating life’s twists and turns against the backdrop of current cultural chaos with unfiltered realness. The show is available to stream via BET+ and linear on BET; watch the first four seasons now. 

9.) Queer electro-pop luminary Gregory Dillon’s long-anticipated debut album Heaven Hates Me has arrived! In more music news, bisexual bedroom pop singer-songwriter ROREY dropped the new single “Soho Grand” and queer Grammy-winner Abigail Barlow released the club anthem “Modern Day Madonna.” Queer Korean-American artist St. Lenox also debuted a music video for the meditative single “Kalahari.” Finally, Barlow & Bear shared their empowering first single “Beyond” from the upcoming sequel Moana 2, performed by the film’s bisexual star Auli’i Cravalho; pre-save the entire soundtrack and watch a sneak peek of Cravalho and the music team below!

10.) A star-studded lineup of talent are set to be honored at the Critics Choice Association’s seventh annual Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, which is set for December 9 in Los Angeles! Among those being recognized are out stars Cynthia Erivo and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor. Erivo will receive the Actress Awards – Film for her performance in Universal’s highly-anticipated film adaptation of Wicked and Ellis-Taylor will be honored with the Social Impact Award for her passionate advocacy for social justice.
