Miss Universe Pageant 2023: How to watch for free online

Bring on the best and most beautiful: The Miss Universe 2023 Pageant airs Saturday, Jan. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

The Miss Universe competition is moving to the Roku Channel this year (it was previously on FOX), which is accessible through Roku’s website, apps and smart TVs.

Cord-cutters, however, have options to stream online at two services, each of which offers a free trial: FuboTV and DirectTV.

The pageant will debut two new hosts who are thrilled to come on board — former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo and Jeannie Mai Jenkins who will sit at the helm at the main event all set for Saturday from New Orleans.

Culpo and Jenkins are replacing Steve Harvey, who served as host for five years — with the exception of 2021 when the show was cancelled because of restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last month, Variety exclusively reported that the 71st Miss Universe competition is the latest TV event making the move to streaming, as The Roku Channel sealed a one-year deal to be the official English-language U.S. home for Miss Universe. The event also airs on TV in Spanish on Telemundo.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE CO-HOSTS

Culpo was crowned Miss Universe 2012 and since that time has starred in the TLC series “The Culpo Sisters,” and has served as a creative director for the canned cocktail company Vide. An actress and a model, she also is a social media influencer.

Jenkins won a Daytime Emmy for hosting “The Real,” and hosts Amazon Freevee’s “America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation.” She’s also was a commentator in the past for the Miss Universe and Miss USA competitions.

Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray, and Emmy award winning television personality, “American Ninja Warrior” co-host and “Access Hollywood” correspondent Zuri Hall, will serve as backstage commentators.

NEW OWNER FOR MISS UNIVERSE

In October the Miss Universe Organization was purchased by Thailand-based JKN Global Group PCL (run by CEO Anne Jukapong Jakrajutatip) from previous owner IMG.
