Miley Cyrus Releases New Album Endless Summer Vacation: Listen ...
Miley Cyrus has released her new album, Endless Summer Vacation. The singer’s eighth studio LP features contributions from Harmony Korine, Brandi Carlile, Sia, Tobias Jesso Jr., Rob Moose, James Blake, Mike Will Made-It, Greg Kurstin, BJ Burton, Bibi Bourelly, and more. Cyrus announced Endless Summer Vacation at the beginning of January, sharing the lead single, “Flowers,” a week later. In an interview clip she posted to social media, Cyrus said the record is divided into halves that loosely represent daytime and nighttime.
Since her last album, 2020’s Plastic Hearts, Cyrus has continued her affinity for cover songs, taking on Cocteau Twins’ “Heaven or Las Vegas” while performing in the titular city. She also covered Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” for the collection The Metallica Blacklist. In 2021, Cyrus took “Plastic Hearts” and “Without You” to the Saturday Night Live stage for a Mother’s Day episode hosted by Elon Musk, where she also covered Dolly Parton’s “Light of the Clear Blue Morning.”
Last year, Cyrus released Attention: Miley Live, a collection of concert recordings from across her career. She closed out 2022 as the host of her own New Year’s Eve special on NBC, which featured guest appearances from Dolly Parton and David Byrne. Cyrus joined the latter for a cover of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.”
