AUCKLAND, New Zealand – The Croatian Club witnessed a pulsating clash on Wednesday night as Auckland City FC secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Northern League rivals West Coast Rangers.
It was a crucial win for the Navy Blues who dug deep to overcome a red card and a missed penalty before securing the points deep into injury time in order to open up a three point lead at the top of the competition ladder, although their rivals have all played a game less.
Regont Murati and Angus Kilkolly were the heroes on the night with Murati keeping his cool in the dying minutes to net the winner, his fourth in five matches, and striker Kilkolly stepping up to take on substitute goalkeeping duties following a red card to Conor Tracey in the 31st minute.

Auckland City’s lively midfielder Tong Zhou stepped up to take a free-kick following a foul on Derek Tieku and his sublime strike found the back of the net, giving the home side the lead.
