Congress secured both Lok Sabha seats in Wayanad (Kerala) and Nanded (Maharashtra) and seven assembly seats, including three in Karnataka. TMC swept all six seats in West Bengal.

Election results live: Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole narrowly retained the Sakoli assembly seat, defeating his BJP rival Avinash Brahmankar by just 208 votes. Patole secured 96,795 votes, while Brahmankar closely followed with 96,587.
Independent candidate Somadatta Karanjekar finished third with 18,309 votes.

Election results live: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday celebrated outside the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office by bursting crackers after the results of the by-elections to nine assembly seats in the state were declared.
On Saturday, the Election Commission of India declared the results of by-elections for 48 assembly seats held across 13 states, with the BJP and its allies winning the majority of the seats, while Congress won both Lok Sabha constituencies of Wayanad in Kerala and Nanded in Maharashtra.
In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP won six assembly by-polls, and its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RJD) won one seat, while the Samajwadi Party was able to win just two seats out of nine contested.
Election results live: Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Saturday expressed his dissatisfaction over the results of the Maharashtra election, terming it as "unacceptable."
Speaking to ANI, after the results of the Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections were declared, Alvi noted that India and democracy had lost.

Fadnavis secured 1,29,401 votes, while Patil garnered 89,691. His victory margin, however, dropped by 9,643 votes compared to the 2019 elections.
