Middlesboro host inaugural Magic City festival

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - On Friday, June 21, Middlesboro hosted its inaugural Magic City Ragtime and Jazz Festival.

This three-day festival showcased all that Middlesboro has to offer

From live entertainment to storytellers who spoke of the stories that made Middlesboro the Magic City, and even vendors who showed the history of agriculture in the area, there was something for everyone.

“The committee’s goal was to bring everyone together, regardless of religious background beliefs and just come and have a good time,” Committee member Buffy Dunnaville said.

Officials with Magic City Ragtime and Jazz said that there are already plans in the works for next year’s festival.
