NORTON, Mass. (August 15, 2024) – The LPGA Tour’s FM Championship announced Thursday that the U.S. Virgin Islands will be the Official Caribbean Tourism Destination of the inaugural event, which premieres at TPC Boston on Aug. 29-Sept. 1. As part of this multi-year partnership, the U.S. Virgin Islands will bring even more energy and fun to the FM Championship, cultivating a fan experience that highlights the culture and beauty of the islands.

“It is an exciting time for the U.S. Virgin Islands, as we expand our sports partnerships portfolio and collaborate with LPGA,” said Commissioner Joseph Boschulte of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism. “As a destination, we aim to partner with organizations that align and reflect our core target demographics while also helping to expand our audiences, and we believe that the LPGA helps us achieve both. In addition, our territory’s longstanding connection to the golf world makes this an easy collaboration as we continue to bridge the gap for tourists to explore and engage in golfing opportunities throughout the USVI territory.”
