Justin Baldoni Hires Crisis PR Manager Amid 'It Ends With Us' Drama
Justin Baldoni has reportedly hired a crisis PR manager amid all the ongoing drama with It Ends With Us. Ya know, drama like almost the entire cast unfollowing him/not doing any press with him.
Both the Hollywood Reporter and People confirm that the It Ends With Us actor/director is working with veteran crisis manager Melissa Nathan of The Agency Group. No other details involving their working relationship have been released.
As for what’s going on between Justin and the rest of the cast? Well, it depends on who you ask. Last week, sources told the Hollywood Reporter that “there was a fracture among the filmmakers in the post-production process, wherein two different cuts of the movie emerged.” Multiple sources *also* told the outlet that Blake Lively “commissioned a cut of the movie from editor Shane Reid” (who edited Deadpool & Wolverine) but that it’s “unclear” whether said cut was used.

Meanwhile, an insider recently told the Daily Mail that Justin had a “dismissive” attitude about Blake’s “input” surrounding scenes that involved domestic violence, saying, “Justin failed to consider Blake’s character’s perspective, instead focusing solely on what he believed was the abusive male viewpoint. His approach was very chauvinistic, creating a tense atmosphere on set.”
Meanwhile, another person close to the sitch told People, “All is not what it seems. There is much more to this story. The principal cast and [author] Colleen Hoover will have nothing to do with him.”
Oh, and a Page Six source said Justin made Blake feel “uncomfortable” and created an “extremely difficult” work environment.
FYI, Justin has only praised Blake and the rest of his cast members while promoting the film, and even said he thought Blake should direct a sequel.
TL;DR: We’re just as confused as everyone else is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
