KL Rahul has now been joined by SHubman Gill at the crease for one-down India. The duo is looking to form a good partnership to give India a good start. On the other hand, Australian bowlers are eyeing some quick wickets, in order to get an upper hand. India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat against Australia in the Day-Night second Test in Adelaide. IND vs AUS 2nd Test Day 1, Live: Here's what Pat Cummins said at the toss

"Yeah that's right (when asked if he would have batted first), but day one, pink ball, you never know, there might be a bit of nip for us. It's always good to have a fresh start. It's a venue where we really love playing. Pink ball can be a little bit different than the red ball. Everyone can look back at the success that we've had in past games, really excited. We weren't at our best last week, it's been a really good preparation, the boys are itching to get out there. Maybe little more sing, it's pretty muggy today. Just one change. Josh Hazlewood misses, Scott Boland comes in."

IND vs AUS 2nd Test Day 1, Live: Here's what Rohit Sharma said at the toss

We are going to bat first. Looks a good pitch, looks a bit dry at the moment, enough grass covering as well. There will be something in it for everyone. I have been here for two weeks now. Ready to go now. The mood is good, pretty vibrant. What the boys did in Perth was superb. It's a long series, we'll try and do most things right. The fast bowlers are happy (with the break). We want to carry from where we left. We have made 3 changes. I am back, Gill is back. Ashwin is back. I am batting in the middle order.

IND vs AUS 2nd Test Day 1, Live: India high on confidence

Playing Australia in Australia tends to bring the best out of the visiting Indian team which defied all expectations to boss the series-opener in Perth, handing Australia their first loss at the Optus stadium. In their last trip Down Under, India made a comeback for the ages following the 36 all out debacle at the Adelaide Oval but the visitors are placed much better this time around, following the resounding result in the opening Test.
