5'10 guard, Sarah Deng, signs to the Florida Gators ahead of the 2025-26 season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Women's Basketball head coach Kelly Rae Finley and her staff announced the signing of Sarah Deng, a transfer from Eastern Arizona Community College. Deng will join the Gators at the start of the 2025-26 academic year. "Sarah has a skill that changes the game in various ways," Finley said. "She has great footwork inside and the ability to score from the perimeter." On and off the court, Sarah is a great person, and we're excited to welcome her and her family to Gator Nation." A 5'10" guard, Deng is originally from Adelaide, Australia and has spent the past two seasons at EACC. At Eastern Arizona, Deng led her team to the JUCO National Semifinal and aided in a 30-5 record for the 2023-24 season. Deng was also selected to the All-Conference Second Team. Coach Kelly Rae Finley comments on the signing of Deng, "We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to Gator Nation! Her passion and love for the game, combined with her team-first mentality, maturity and desire to be her best on and off the court make her the perfect addition to the Florida family. " Deng is the second signee for the 2025 class, joining Emilija Dakic.
