Red Bull’s Verstappen enters the race with 277 points in the Drivers Championship standings, 78 points ahead of Lando Norris and 100 points ahead of Charles Leclerc.

Though he has won three consecutive Dutch Grand Prix races, Verstappen has been marred in a recent slump overall. The Dutchman has not won a race in the past four attempts, a scenario that has not happened in four years. He hasn’t made the podium in two consecutive races, which has not happened since 2021.

This will be the 200th race of Verstappen’s career.

On the other side, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula 1 Drivers champion, has won two of the last three Grand Prix races. He is currently sixth place in the standings, trailing Verstappen by 127 points.

Hamilton suffered a three-place grid penalty during qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix after it was determined he had unnecessarily impeded Red Bull’s Sergio Perez.

In 14 races this season, Formula 1 has brought out seven different winners from four different teams. Will Verstappen maintain his crown in the Netherlands?
