A packed pit area at Robertson Prestige International Speedway in Palmerston North for the qualifying races at the 43rd ENZED Dewtec Teams' Champs. But this Saturday it is all about fireworks.
A bright weekend is expected, with Diwali celebrations commencing in Feilding and a massive fireworks display in Palmerston North.
FridayPuss In Boots: Two-hour pantomime production running until November 18 at Levin Little Theatre. Fridays and Saturdays 7pm, Sundays 2pm. Tickets available through trybooking.co.nz/PNB. Bar food available.
Stretcher Bearer: One-man monologue performance by Peter MacKenzie at Feilding Little Theatre, chronicling Bill Smith’s First World War experience. Performing November 3-4, 10-11, at 7.30pm.
SaturdayFeilding’s First Diwali: The Festival of Lights is being celebrated at the Feilding Civic Centre, from 4.30pm.
Fireworks Spectacular: The excitement is on the track and in the skies at Robertson Prestige International Speedway, with the biggest annual fireworks display in the region. Tickets $25/$10 or $60 for a family pass, at the gate on race day.
Manawatū Concert Band: Programme to include songs from The Blues Brothers, The Mamas and Papas, My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, and more, 7.30pm, Speirs Centre. Tickets $20/$10.
SundayRed Tulip Walk: Walk the 5km riverside walkway loop with Christian Cullen for this Parkinson’s NZ fundraiser. Starting from Paneiri Park car park, Palmerston North, at 9am. Adults $10, children and youth gold coin. Wear a red T-shirt.
MondaySkating lessons: Swamp City Roller Derby’s six-lesson weekly series teaching fundamental skating skills begins, and runs until December 11. The sessions will be at Bell Hall, Waldegrave St from 6.45pm. The cost is $15 per session, including skates, gear and coaching.
