Galatasaray vs Tottenham live updates: Europa League score as ...
65' Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham
Lankshear looked distraught after being sent off. The Galatasaray fans were chanting and mocking him while Pedro Porro ran over to console him as he left the pitch with his shirt over his face.
An awful night just got worse.
63' Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham
The Galatasaray pressure was relentless before the red card, so you can only imagine what it will be like now.
Forster is actually having a very good night in the Tottenham goal and he comes to the rescue again. Akgun with another superbly struck effort but it was too close to the goalkeeper and he was able to beat it away.
At this rate, Spurs will be lucky to keep this below five.

Well, you can ignore that comment about more Tottenham goals!
A frustrated Lankshear slides in to win the ball and takes a chunk out of Sara, leaving him in a heap on the floor. The referee has no choice but to show the 19-year-old a second yellow card.
A dreadful evening for Tottenham gets even worse.
59' Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham
An extremely rare foray into the Galatasaray defensive third could have halved the deficit for Tottenham.
Lankshear did well to keep the ball in the penalty area but couldn't quite get the ball out from under his feet. His right-footed effort was on target but it was tame and easy for Muslera to keep out.
You do sense that there could be another goal or two in this for the away side...
57' Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham
I've got no idea how Galatasaray are not five or six goals in front. And I've got no idea how Osimhen has only scored twice.
He was left completely alone (again) in the Spurs penalty area but his effort from eight or nine yards was blocked superby by Pedro Porro right in front of goal.
At risk sounding like a broken record, this has been a reprehensible performance from the visitors.

The referee's yellow card is out again, twice.
First it is to shown to Lankshear for an overexuberant attempt to shield the ball before Sara is booked for pulling Maddison back.
Had he not been left on the floor, I wouldn't have been sure Maddison was actually playing in this match.

You won't be surprised to hear Galatasaray have created another golden chance. You might be surprised, though, that Osimhen missed it.
He had the freedom of the Tottenham penalty area from another wicked delivery into the penalty area but somehow sent it over the bar when it looked easier to score from a few yards out.
That really should have been the Napoli's loanee hat-trick.
I can't quite articulate how poorly Spurs have played in the last 25 minutes of this match despite the introductions of Bentancur and Kulusevski at half-time.
50' Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham
This has been superb from Galatasaray in the opening minutes of the second half — they are all over Tottenham.
After an almost-terminal mistake from Forster, Akgun was picked out on the edge of the penalty area from a corner and his super first-time left-footed volley was headed for the top corner again.
Fortunately for Spurs, Dragusin did very well to deflect it past the post with his head.

Kulusevski's first involvement is to give the ball away and then bundle into the back of Osimhen as he broke towards the penalty area.
It was definitely a foul but the yellow card that followed seemed a bit harsh, something the Swede very clearly said to the referee.

The half-time Tottenham team talk doesn't seem to have changed anything.
They were nearly caught out by a ball in behind immediately from the restart before Mauro Icardi snatched at a chance in the penalty area and fired over the crossbar.
Galatasaray have been very good, but Tottenham have been the architects of their own downfall.

Tottenham's much-needed break is over and Postecoglou has responded to that dismal first half with a pair of changes.
Son and Johnson have been withdrawn — Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur are on in their place.
Maddison and Bergvall very fortunate to survive those substitutions, for me.

Our Tottenham-supporting have been having their say on that first-half performance in our matchday discussion — which you can access here.
Laurie B: We look like a team of teenagers playing against grown men. We are being bodied off of every ball and our passes look pretty terrible.Chris R: Beyond Dragusin (who has been his usual useless self), it's some of our more experienced players who are really letting us down. Son and Maddison especially just look to have downed tools, but Bissouma as well has been poor.Gus A: Bergvall is just not ready for this level. Needs to get some experience in the League Cup and FA Cup.Michael T: Ange must be absolutely fuming. Never seen a team give the ball away so much.A special word for Lankshear who just scored his first senior goal. He started out in Arsenal’s academy but was released and joined Sheffield United before finding a home at Tottenham.
The 19-year-old has, unfortunately, subsequently been overshadowed by Osimhen who is hunting a hat-trick having had great joy against Dragusin and Davies.

Lots of talk before the game about this youthful Tottenham side needing the more experienced players to help them through.
Well, it has been two of those youngsters — as Jay just mentioned — that are standing out.
The likes of Son Heung-min and James Maddison have been complete bystanders while Ben Davies is finding life hard at the back next to an awful Radu Dragusin performance.

The only Tottenham players who emerge with any credit from that half are Archie Gray, Yves Bissouma and Will Lankshear.
Bissouma and Gray seem to be fighting fires all over the pitch and are the only ones who look secure in possession.
You could make a strong argument that both Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison should both be replaced at the break.

We mentioned how effective this Galatasaray team has been in front of goal in this season's Europa League and they have played true to the form book.
Yunus Akgun opened the scoring with an awesome volley before Victor Osimhen took over. Will Lankshear had initially levelled for the visitors, but the Nigerian stole back the lead for the home side with two good finishes inside the penalty area.
Plenty of work to do for Postecoglou's men...
45+2' Galatasaray 3-1 Tottenham
Gabriel Sara has been great in midfield for Galatasaray so far, I remain really surprised that there wasn't more Premier League interest in him over the summer.
He is the latest player to have had a shot at goal, but his left-footed effort didn't curl anywhere nearly enough and Forster was able to watch it trickle wide.

There will be three more minutes of this first half.
Tottenham are in desperate need of the half-time whistle, they've been terrible in the last 10 or 15 minutes.
