GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - An 18-year-old man is under arrest after police say he illegally manufactured an explosive in Green Township, court records show.

Andrew Reverman also faces a charge of criminal damaging or endangering.

It happened Saturday in the 2100 block of Rollingridge Lane and another person’s property was hit, police wrote in one of his criminal complaints.

“Mr. Reverman created his own explosion that blew a chunk of wood into (the) victim’s home and truck,” the court document shows.

The victim gave a statement to police saying he was cleaning his camper when he “saw kids lighting something and then (there was) a large boom,” according to a signed affidavit. “I got hit by some wood and a large piece of wood went through a part of our house and also (made) a dent in my truck.”

Reverman admitted to using a mixture with potassium chlorate “to create his own firework,” police wrote in his second criminal complaint.

He is held without bond at the Hamilton County Justice Center and expected to appear in court Monday morning.
