Dave Blunt is a rapper whose name has been slowly bubbling over the last six months, with Snoop Dogg being one of the first big names to acknowledge the rising artist. Unfortunately, Snoop’s mention of the rapper didn’t stem from the Long Beach OG being impressed with his music, but rather his concerns for the young wordsmith’s health.
In a November social media post, Snoop Dogg shared footage of the rapper sitting down while rapping his song, “The Cup,” where he raps that he’ll never put down his styrofoam companion.
“Well put down the chicken wings and Tata chips Nefew,” Snoop reacted, adding, “That chair gone break soon.” Blunt took to Snoop’s comment section replying, “Damn Unc.”
One of his biggest performances to date, this weekend’s 4th Annual JUICE WRLD DAY in Chicago — honoring the late rapper who died in 2019 — found Dave hitting the stage, again, sitting during his performance. It was then that he asked the crowd if they had a problem with him sitting down for his set, to which they had no objections.
“Exactly, get the f**k off my d**k, Snoop Dogg,” he yelled to the crowd. As for Snoop, he found the statement comical, adding that he apologized for his initial comments.
While Snoop has promised to leave the situation alone, others have also expressed concerns for the up-and-comers health due to him using an oxygen tank during the performance. Many also emphasize that it isn’t just about him being overweight, as Hip-Hop has produced plenty of heavyset rappers, but rather his need for medical assistance to get through a performance.

“My Facebook kept getting banned and I kept getting reported and sh*t. So, I just had to keep making random names and one day I was smoking a blunt and making a Facebook, and I was like ‘Sh*t, Dave Blunts.’ And I was uploading music to Facebook, so it just kind of stuck.”

Blunts started making music at six years old, but began taking it seriously at 18, first gaining notoriety in the Mexican community via photos and memes he shared on Facebook. He would soon share music on the same page and begin to build his music fanbase from those original supporters.
