Damon Hay has confessed to orchestrating Adam Barlow's kidnapping in Coronation Street.
Earlier this week, Damon had Adam being snatched from the cobbles and held hostage until he called off the plan before his love rival could be hurt.
Adam was intent on proving Damon was behind the snatching in Tuesday's (January 2) special episode, only to be thwarted as Sarah told police she was with Damon at the time of the kidnapping.

Next, Adam went to see Craig Tinker at the police station to argue that Damon was responsible whether or not he was actually at the site of the kidnapping. Unfortunately for Adam, Craig said the evidence proved otherwise.
While Sarah had publicly defended Damon, she started to have her doubts once Adam warned her she would get hurt if she let Damon into her life.
When Sarah finally got to confront Damon face-to-face, he insisted he'd been with her at the time of the kidnapping.
"Not the whole time," Sarah pointed out.
Sarah was staggered as Damon confessed he'd orchestrated the kidnapping, but wanted credit for not going through with his full revenge plan.

"When it came down to it, there was no way. I'm trying to be honest with you," Damon insisted. "You're the reason that I've changed."
Damon argued that he could have lied to her about the kidnapping, only for Sarah to counter that he had actually lied to her.
"Just get out," she demanded.
Sarah was left with the dilemma of whether or not to turn Damon over to the police. Is it already over for Sarah and Damon?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
