In last night's opening match, Argentina kept Canada waiting at the beginning of the second half for a good five minutes before they eventually emerged from the tunnel onto the field.
After the game, Jesse Marsch questioned whether Argentina would be punished for that infraction, asserting the delay gave them extra time to analyze video of the first half.
Will we see either Peru or Chile pull a similar stunt here as we get ready for the second half in Arlington?

Peru had the only shot on goal of the first half, but Chile had the best chance.
Alexis should absolutely have opened the scoring in the 16th minute. The net was wide open in front of him from point-blank range. Pedro Gallese in Peru's goal had little chance of stopping him. And yet somehow, Alexis conspired to miss, putting his first-time shot over the target.

Peru are very fortunate to still be on level terms in this match.

45+3' Peru 0-0 Chile
Chile have 66% possession but absolutely refuse to pump the brakes and circulate in the final third, which is making this game way more end-to-end fun than it has any right to be.
It helps that nobody here is particularly good at defending in midfield — exactly how international football should be.

We're into three minutes of first-half stoppage time.
Valdes was down and receiving treatment a moment ago. Osorio was ready to come on in his place, but Valdes has played on for now. Chile may be waiting until the halftime break to make a change, as that doesn't count as one of their three sub opportunities.

43' Peru 0-0 Chile
We finally have our first shot on goal of the match as Araujo's header from close range is caught by Bravo, a relatively comfortable save.
Replays show Araujo received a bit of a push from behind as he made contact with the ball.
42' Peru 0-0 Chile
Lopez tries to take a long ball past Isla in the Chilean box, but the defender gets his body in the way and gains possession.
Peru vehemently appeal for handball but the referee isn't hearing it. Replays show it hit Isla squarely in the chest.

40' Peru 0-0 Chile
Alexis is always in motion as Chile’s increasingly free-roaming No. 10: sometimes dropping deep, sometimes shaking free between the lines and putting Vargas through on goal. Even at 35 years old, he’s still the best player on the pitch (if you can ignore his shot placement).

38' Peru 0-0 Chile
Given Peru have three midfielders in there, it's remarkable how many times Chile have broken the lines with passes in central areas. Marcelino Nunez has been the most composed player on the pitch so far, but La Roja's wingers are also drifting in and having some joy beyond Edu Vargas.

Marcos López comes on in place of Luis Advíncula, who gives the captain's armband to Zambrano.
It's not clear whether Advincula has suffered an injury.

29' Peru 0-0 Chile
It's all Chile at the moment as they mount another attack, keeping Peru's defense under pressure.
Alexis latches onto a loose ball in the box and fires a powerful shot, but misses the target high.

28' Peru 0-0 Chile
Davila takes the free kick from the edge of Peru's box but can't clear the first man with a low driven effort.
26' Peru 0-0 Chile
Chile are awarded a free kick on the edge of Peru's box. They appeal for a penalty, feeling the foul occurred just inside the penalty area, but replays show that wasn't the case.
25' Peru 0-0 Chile
As if the hard tackles weren’t enough, Chile are literally tripping over themselves in the box. They’ve been the better team but the final phase has been pure slapstick.

24' Peru 0-0 Chile
Plenty of challenges flying in here as expected – these two sides don't particularly like each other. We hit the 10-foul mark before 20 minutes, with a card apiece already. The Brazilian referee is keeping things under control, for now...
22' Peru 0-0 Chile
Alexis slips Davila into the box but Peru's defense recovers well to shut the attack down. Isla was open on the right wing but Alexis may not have seen him.
Moments later, Pulgar picks up Chile's first booking for clearing out Lapadula with a late sliding tackle.
