Cher is currently enjoying one of the most successful holiday seasons of her career. The superstar actor and singer’s first holiday collection, an album titled Christmas, has become another big win for her. The set’s lead single, “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” has been picking up steam all season long, and it seems people can’t get enough of it.

This week, “DJ Play a Christmas Song” breaks onto a pair of Billboard charts for the first time. And it’s not just the tune that’s new to these weekly rankings, but the singer behind this new hit. The single sold just under 4,500 copies in the prior tracking period, according to Luminate, which has helped it become a welcome hit on several lists.

“DJ Play a Christmas Song” debuts on this week’s Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart at No. 15. Somewhat shockingly, Cher has never before appeared on the list of the most-streamed dance and electronic tunes in the country. While much of her output for the past few decades has been classified under these genre labels by Billboard, none of her recent tracks have streamed well enough to place.

The same hit also debuts on the latest edition of the Holiday 100. Billboard recently brought the tally of the most-consumed holiday songs back, and this week, Cher appears on the list for the first time. “DJ Play a Christmas Song” starts its time on the 100-spot roster at No. 94.

“DJ Play a Christmas Song” has become a hit on several Billboard charts throughout the past few weeks. The track recently became Cher’s first top 10 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs ranking–the most important field in the dance and electronic spaces.

The same smash also reached No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales and Holiday Digital Song Sales charts as well. The single marked Cher’s first trip to the summit on both lists. In fact, on the latter, it gave the legend her first placement of any kind.
