Manchester United Women's upcoming clash with Chelsea has been called off.
The game was due to be played next weekend but has been postponed due to the west Londoners' Women's Champions League involvement.
A statement from the Women’s Professional Leagues Limited reads: "Due to the scheduling of Chelsea’s first UWCL group-stage game, the BWSL game between Chelsea and Manchester United, due to take place on Sunday 6 October, has been postponed.
"We apologise for any inconvenience to fans. In this instance, we have to put player welfare first and we will announce a new date for the fixture in due course.
"We thank the clubs and Sky Sports for their understanding as we work on a resolution."
Our game in the capital, set to kick off at midday, was deemed too close to Chelsea's home fixture with Real Madrid, being held on Tuesday 8 October, with a 20:00 BST start.
United continued our good start to the season with a hard-fought 1-0 away victory at Everton on Sunday.
Grace Clinton scored the only goal of the game on Merseyside.
