We can confirm the starting XI and substitutes for this evening’s Carabao Cup third-round tie at Coventry City (kick-off 8pm UK).

Ange Postecoglou has made eight changes to the side that started against Arsenal at the weekend, with only Destiny Udogie, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dominic Solanke retaining their places for the cup clash at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

That means there are full competitive debuts for summer arrivals Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, and Fraser Forster returns to action for the first time since appearing in this competition over a year ago at Fulham on 29 August, 2023.

Ben Davies captains the side in his first start of the season with Club captain Heung-Min Son amongst the substitutes alongside Sergio Reguilon and Mikey Moore who are involved in their maiden competitive squad of the campaign.
