Chelsea will face Newcastle United in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.
Newcastle reached the quarter-final by beating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford in the round of 16, after beating Manchester City 1-0 at St James’ Park in the third round. Chelsea on the other hand beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Everton convincingly beat Burnley 3-0 at Goodison Park in the previous round while Fulham beat Championship high-flyers Ipswich Town 3-1 at Portman Road.
Liverpool secured a 2-1 victory away to Bournemouth while West Ham United sealed an impressive victory over Arsenal at the London Stadium.
League One’s Port Vale, in the quarter-final for the first time in the club’s history, will host Championship side Middlesbrough after their 1-0 victory over Mansfield Town on Tuesday. Middlesbrough meanwhile defeated Exeter City 3-2 in the previous round.
