Major retailers offer glimpse at best Boxing Day sales deals

Christmas is all over for another year.

But for some, the real event is about to kick off, as major retailers across the country brace themselves for a Boxing Day shopping frenzy.

And if you thought the deals were good for Black Friday, some stores are promising even better savings tomorrow.

Major retailers are expected to slash prices across a number of categories. (Nine)

David Jones shoppers can cash in on 50 per cent off across men's, women's, kids and homewares.

Big ticket savings include a Soda Stream which is on offer for $149, saving customers $100.

Those in the market for a new vacuum can save a whopping $471 on the Dyson Gen 5 Detect Absolute Stick Vacuum.

Across the road at Myer, the department store is offering a head start on savings with deals starting on Christmas night, including 70 per cent off cookware sets.

"It's definitely a great time to stock up on linen, all linen on Boxing Day will be 50 per cent off," Myer's Madeline Smith said.

The Dyson V8 on Boxing Day will be $499 which is a saving of $300, while $250 will be knocked off the price of a Dyson Air Wrap.

"The offers are online ahead of time, so you can come pre-prepared with what you want to shop for on the day," Smith said.

Target's pillow range will start at just $5 on Boxing Day. (Nine)

At Target, Nathan Woolnough is gearing up for a busy day.

"Some of our best offers this year are our amazing pillow range we've reduced them and they start from $5," he said.

"The next amazing offer is beautiful glassware. The Eva swell range, four pieces. It's $5."

There's 50 per cent off a fan, fryer and nursery manchester too.

At Big W, commercial director Amanda Lunn said there's sales on all the items Aussies might need for a fresh New Year. 

"As we look at Boxing Day, we're a lot more focused on home and also customers and kids spending their money that they've been gifted over the Christmas period," Lunn said.

"So we've got things like half price on our Sistema food and home storage.

"Perfect for packing away after Christmas, but great for those lunch boxes as you go into back to school."

Beauty lovers can enjoy 40 per cent of selected cosmetics at Big W, including MCo Beauty, L'Oriel, Maybelline and Revlon.

Deals on larger items include $150 off a four-litre Phillips digital air fryer and the Eco 50-inch TV with a Web OS operating system for $349.

And if you don't feel like braving the shops on Boxing Day, many retailers will have the same deals online.

That includes The Iconic, where senior buyer Lisa Bean has been curating the perfect deals.  

"Boxing Day is a really great moment to buy a little personal items, something that Santa didn't deliver for you this Christmas and really grab a bargain," she said. 

Selected Nike styles will be up to 30 per cent off, while cult favourite Converse All Stars are down to $91, from $130.

For shoppers who prefer to browse online, The Iconic savings across the board. (Nine)

"To kick off that new year, new you movement. Nikes will be on sale," she said.

The major stores will open from 7am tomorrow.
