Foster Foundation proudly present the critically acclaimed documentary Bonnie Blue: James Cotton's Life in the Blues will be shown at the Arts at the Capitol Theater, located at 896 Main Street, Willimantic, CT. This powerful film pays tribute to the legendary James Cotton, whose harmonica and voice have left an indelible mark on the blues genre and American music.
Bonnie Blue: James Cotton's Life in the Blues tells the remarkable story of James Cotton, who rose from humble beginnings in the Mississippi Delta to become a globally celebrated blues icon. Featuring rare footage and interviews with musical greats, the film captures Cotton’s journey, his profound influence on the blues, and his lasting legacy. “We’re thrilled to bring this incredible documentary to Willimantic,” said Bruce John Bread Box Co-director. “This event not only celebrates a music legend but also strengthens our community by supporting a cause that touches so many lives.”
The event will kick-off with a live blues set by renown harmonica player James Montgomery, The Beehive Queen, Christine Ohlman, and Bruce John.
