The stage is set for the 2024 Bathurst 1000 - Auto Action
It has arrived – happy Bathurst Day with the 2024 Great Race about to begin with the fight for the Peter Brock Trophy as open as ever.
With the driver who has won the last two Bathurst 1000s, Shane van Gisbergen, in America, the chance lies ahead of a new star to cement their names into Mount Panorama folklore.
For the second year in a row Brodie Kostecki has put Erebus Motorsport on pole and he and Todd Hazelwood will be determined to go one better.
Cameron Waters is on the front row once again, chasing a maiden Peter Brock Trophy after three podiums with James Moffat.Triple Eight can never be discounted with Broc Feeney/Jamie Whincup and Will Brown/Scott Pye both starting from the top five, while both Grove Racing Mustangs have been fast.
But after a weekend full of incidents on the hard tyre, anyone can win from anywhere and a thrilling fight for the Peter Brock Trophy lies ahead.
The 2024 Bathurst 1000 begins at 11.30 AEDT.
