After scoring a matchwinning try for the Panthers in the 2024 grand final, the former Bulldogs’ season has ended on a sour note.
Fox League’s Jake Duke confirmed the Tongan centre’s afternoon was over, confirming he’d suffered a game-ending injury.
“Big blow Paul Alamoti off the field, he’s gone up the tunnel to be assessed by the doctor,” Duke said.
Alamoti also spent time sidelined for the Panthers with a fractured arm suffered in Round 20, returning in Round 26 ahead of the finals.
“Paul Alamoti did experienced a broken arm this year in his time with Penrith, but there could be any number of structural issues around the elbow,” Andrew Voss said.
Eliesa Katoa was the man tasked with slotting into the centres, with coach Kristian Woolf shifting the Storm gun one position wider.
