A flash mob of 60 dancers will perform on a 'shloka' and ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has been roped in to design a captivating performance.

Anant Ambani, the son of India's richest business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, is all set to tie the knot with his longtime sweetheart and businessman Viren Merchant's daughter Radhika Merchant on July 12, an event which is touted to be the "wedding of the year".

The Ambanis, with an estimated net worth of over US dollars 113 billion as of March 2024, are renowned for hosting extravagant events that often redefine luxury and splendour, all while cherishing and preserving their rich Gujarati heritage.

India Today has exclusively learned that the Ambani family has planned a grand flash mob featuring 60 dancers for the 'Shubh Aashirward' ceremony on July 13, a day after Anand and Radhika's wedding.

The event promises to be a spectacular fusion of tradition, modernity, and unparalleled entertainment.

Talking about the 'Shubh Aashirward' ceremony, a source close to the Ambani family said that a flash mob of 60 dancers will perform on a 'shloka' and ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has been roped in to prepare a captivating performance.

"The Ambanis' decision to incorporate a flash mob into their wedding festivities adds a modern twist to traditional celebrations. The flash mob will perform on a 'shloka' and ace choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant has been roped in to design a captivating routine," the source said.

"The flash mob will enter with the Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani. The 60 dancers, selected for their expertise and synchronisation, have been rehearsing intensively to perfect the performance. The performance will take place at a strategic moment during the wedding celebrations, ensuring maximum impact," the source added.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding celebrations have already begun with the lavish 'Mameru' ceremony, which took place at their home- Antilia, in Mumbai on July 3.

Ahead of their youngest son Anant Ambani's wedding, Nita and Mukesh Ambani organised a mass wedding for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra's Palghar on July 2.
