THANKS FOR JOINING US

That's all for our live coverage of today's America's Cup action in Barcelona, come back tomorrow as Ineos look to cut into Team New Zealand's 2-0 lead.

NEW ZEALAND CLAIM RACE 2

And INEOS slip to a 2-0 deficit. New Zealand five away from retaining the cup.

WILSON HOPING ON NEW ZEALAND MISTAKE

The only way Britain could avoid going 2-0 down here is for New Zealand to make a mistake.

"We're waiting for them to slip up," Rob Wilson said.

Based on the Kiwis' near-faultless racing so far today, that is not all-too-likely.

NEW ZEALAND PULL AWAY

Looking slightly more comfortable for the trophy holders now. Showing their class and pedigree here and building a healthy lead.

INEOS, ETNZ CONTINUE TO BATTLE AWAY

Britain get some gains down the right side and the intersection is tight again.

New Zealand still lead. But there's not much in it here.

BRITS 11 SECONDS BEHIND ON LEG 1

The INEOS monohull heads into the favourable pressure and now we can really see how much they enjoy going downwind - without the battery-induced disadvantage.

OFF AND RUNNING!

No battery issues for INEOS this time. And the gap is small.

A really tight intersection between the two and Britain go wide right.

RACE 2 SET TO GET UNDERWAY

We're minutes from the start of Race 2 between ETNZ and INEOS Brittania.

Great Britain looking to overturn their 1-0 deficit.

MILLS: 'GUTTED' BUT 'PROUD' OF HISTORIC CAMPAIGN

On the Athena Pathway, Hannah Mills said she was "gutted" to narrowly miss out to Italy, but feels the maiden women's race in the competition is "just the beginning".

"It's been a long, amazing campaign," Mills said. "We put so much into this and I'm so proud of all of our team who have worked so hard to get us to this point. This is for sure just the beginning of, particularly women's sailing in the cup. I'm so proud to be part of that first-ever women's event.

"Obviously, I'm gutted to not deliver today but for the sport and for women's sailing and for the young girls out there watching, this is happening and it's going to be your time next."

ITALY WIN WOMEN'S CUP

Italy seal victory after a really strong, strategic showing.

Some wild celebrations on board the Luna Rossa! History for the Italians.

The Athena Parkway crossing eight seconds behind.

Giulia Conti says she is "speechless".

HEADING INTO THE FINAL LEG

No change in the race leader, as this historic, first Women's America's Cup final comes to a close.

BRITS BANK ON WIND CHANGE

The 11-second gap remains after the fourth leg, and England head right hoping for a change of wind to cut their deficit.

Athena Parkway tacking away to get out of the Italian air.

HALF-WAY THROUGH, ITALY ON TOP

The gap is still tight, but Italy double their lead on the upwind. An 11-point gap at the half-way mark, but the Athena Parkway's speed downwind is good and their pace is better than the Luna Rossa at the start of the fourth leg.

TACKING WARFARE AT END OF LEG 2

The gap stays similar with Britain hot on the Italian tail, pretty much matching the Luna Rossa's pace.

Italy trying to get Britain into their dirty air, the Athena Parkway tacks away and the two teams head back upwind.

ITALY LEAD FIRST LEG BY TIGHT MARGIN

Some tough conditions but Britain keeping Italy honest, trailing Leg 1 by just six seconds.

Downwind now, let's see how Britain fare.

WOMEN'S FINAL MOMENTS FROM SETTING SAIL

Britain and Italy are set to face off for the inaugeral Women's America's Cup.

The Brits are hot on the tails of the Luna Rossa monohull. These two teams look exceptionally well-matched early on.

TEAM NZ ON RACE 1 VICTORY

Peter Burling: "It wasn't the most straight-forward race you would have seen but a great start there. Boys a little bit nervous sitting so late before the start, but an awesome win to kick it off."

Nathan Outteridge : "It was quite a dynamic race so we learnt a lot about how we sail the boat in these conditions. It was nice to get a clear start and control the race. There'll be a lot of learning over the next few days."

TEAM NEW ZEALAND CLAIM RACE 1 W!

The Emirates TNZ side with a statement of intent as they cross the line 41 seconds ahead of Team Great Britain.

The Brits will feel they did not show their true ability after the battery issue they suffered at the start.

All eyes on Race 2, and Great Britain will be keen to avoid having their deficit doubled.

WILSON REVEALS BATTERY ISSUES

A sign of reliability issues from INEOS? Coach Rob Wilson explained his team's poor start, as New Zealand race towards Race 1 victory.

"There was a few little issues they were having after the battery swap with one of the batteries, which put us on the back foot," Wilson said.

"They're edging back in there. The Kiwis are making it pretty tough though, it's super shifty out there. Put their elbows out, it's hard to get around them for sure."

DAVIES: 'SO FAR SO GOOD' IN "TRICKY CONDITIONS"

Team New Zealand coach Ray Davies has been pleased with his side's showing so far.

"So far so good," he said. "The guys are sailing really well. There's lots of dots to join out here and they're doing a fantastic job. Tricky conditions but really happy with how they're sailing.

"We pulled ours up and down a couple of times. This new breeze is potentially going to come in a little bit stronger so we're thinking of going to a smaller sail."

HEADING BACK DOWNWIND AS ETNZ LOOK STRONG

Into the fourth leg and New Zealand are in the commanding position here.

KIWI'S POSITIONED WELL AFTER LEG 2

INEOS have better speed in the second leg but still trail the Kiwi's, who force the Brits in their wingwash.

Kiwi's dealt with that one well, but you feel it will still be a tight one.

TEAM NEW ZEALAND LEAD LEG 1

The first leg has been completed and Team New Zealand looked strong upwind.

But INEOS have been particularly strong downwind so far en-route to the final, and they're already building good speed on the second leg.

UNDERWAY IN BARCELONA

The 37th America's Cup is underway in Catalonia!

Team New Zealand with some good early speed, establishing a 100m+ gap on INEOS.

WATCH: GREAT BRITAIN 'FIRED UP' FOR HISTORIC FINAL

HOW DOES THE AMERICA'S CUP WORK?

The historic competition, which first took place in 1851, sees two teams face off in a best-of-13 format - essentially, whichever team first reaches seven race wins takes the crown.

Switzerland, Australia, United States and New Zealand are the only teams since the competition's formation to triumph - and Great Britain will be eager to add their name to the esteemed list.

The crews will take on the waters of Port Olimpic in Barcelona - a 3.2km course which requires boats to stay within a 0.9km width restriction, with a penalty waiting for any team that strays too far.

Olympic Games champions Giles Scott and Dylan Fletcher-Scott headline the Great Britain team alongside Ainslie, while Blair Tuke of New Zealand will also be in action, vying to lead their respective countries to glory.

Each race is split into six legs. The two teams race upwind on the opening leg, before sailing downwind on the second, and repeating until all six have been conquered - with the victors claiming a point towards their target of seven.

Given that most days in the America's Cup schedule see two races take place, a total of 12 legs will be sailed - subject to weather conditions in Barcelona - with the option of utilising reserve days.

Seems simple enough - now it is over to Great Britain and New Zealand.

SEVEN MINUTES TO GO

Race management have indicated that the two teams should now be getting underway at 13:50 BST, so we are moments away!

HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A 'CLASSIC AMERICA's CUP FINAL'

Team GB Olympic Games legend Ben Ainslie is expecting an even contest in Barcelona, and says the race has the "potential to be" a "classic".

Speaking to TNT Sports, Ainslie said: "Honestly the team is in a great place, we're just so excited about this opportunity. Britain hasn't been in an America's Cup final in 64 years, never won the America's Cup in 173 years so what an opportunity for the team and we're right up for it today.

"The defender in the America's Cup is really in pole position. They get straight to the final, they're sitting there looking at the rest of us slug it out. There's pluses and minuses to that, we're obviously match fit having come through a really tough final against Luna Rossa [Italian team] and the Kiwi's have been effectively sitting on the bench for three weeks. But in that time they've been able to tweak their boat and they've been analysing the performance.

"It's swings and roundabouts really and at the end of the day, I think the two teams are going to be pretty even. It has all the potential to be one of the classic America's Cup finals. "

TEAM NEW ZEALAND COACH: 'OPTIMISTIC' WE'LL GET RACING

Ray Davies - Team New Zealand coach - said he is "optimistic" that racing will get underway today, despite the current weather conditions being unfavourable.

"We are very optimistic we'll get sailing," he said. "There's a bit more breeze up above the course working it's way from the south. Pretty sure it's going to happen."

WILSON SAYS INEOS 'FIRED UP'

There's a delay to proceedings this afternoon as the breeze is too light to get going straight away. INEOS Brittania coach Rob Wilson says his team are "fired up" and "want to get racing".

"They're all fired up ready for it," Wilson said on the live broadcast. "Standing by now, waiting for wind.

"We're just waiting for the wind to come in. We want to get into it. We want to get racing.

On his team's pre-race preparations, he added: "It's just really to get everything ready, get all settled and then as soon as the breeze is in go for it. We're kind of on edge now, we've got some things we're sorting out on the boat and then we'll do some practice laps."
